Guatemala Markets

Wander the colourful markets of Guatemala and roam the colonial and Mayan roads around Antigua, Panajachel, Quetzaltenango, Huehuetenango and Chichicastenango.

Day 1 – Tuesday
Guatemala City – Antigua

This morning depart Guatemala City in the direction of Antigua for a visit of this colonial style city, taking in the most interesting sites: churches, convents, monasteries and other colonial buildings. Overnight in Antigua.

Day 2 – Wednesday
Antigua – Panajachel

In the morning depart for Lake Atitlan , with a brief stop at the Archaeological Site of Iximche for a visit. Overnight accommodations will be provided in Panajachel. B

Day 3 – Thursday
Pamajachel – Quetzaltenango

In the morning join the launch excursion to the picturesque lake-side village of Santiago Atitlan. In the afternoon, continue to Quetzaltenango for overnight. B

Day 4 – Friday
Quetzaltenango – Huehuetenango

Visit the colorful open-air animal market of San Francisco El Alto, the Church of San Andres Xecul and beautiful Valley of Almolonga. Overnight in Huehuetenango. B

Day 5 – Saturday
Huehuetenango – Chichicastenango

This morning, visit the colorful open-air market of Todos Santos Cuchumatanes. In the afternoon continue to Chichicastenango for overnight. B

Day 6 – Sunday
Chichicastenango – Guatemala City

In the morning visit the colorful open-air market of Chichicastenango and the Church of Santo Tomas. After lunch continue back to Guatemala City. B
