The spectacular Uyuni Salt Flats are the largest on earth: miles and miles of dazzling pentagons of crystalline salt and the noise of silence makes the heart beat faster. Certainly, there is no place like this on the planet.
Day 1
La Paz – Uyuni

This morning you will be picked up from your hotel in La Paz and transferred to the airport for your flight to Uyuni. On arrival you will be transferred to Colchani, a village where the majority of the salt consumed in Bolivia is produced, located about 21 kilometese from Uyuni.  After visiting “Ojos de Agua” in the border of the Salt Flats, continue to Isla Pescado or Incawasi. Upon arrival, you will visit the Island and have lunch at the local Restaurant.  Isla Pescado (Fish Island): The island, located in the middle of the Salt Flats. Nature here is endowed with a flower of very singular characteristic, a cactus that grows to six meters high. The ground contains fossilized seaweed known as Estromatolitos. There are also some indications of pre-Hispanic culture in the area. After lunch transfer to Hotel Luna Salada on the shores of the Uyuni Salt Flats. Dinner. L D


Day 2
Uyuni – La Paz

After breakfast, transfer from hotel to airport for flight to La Paz. On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel. B

Day 1
La Paz – Uyuni

Day 2
Uyuni

Enjoy a full day excursion to the small village of Coquesa at the foot of Thunupa volcano. Stroll around the village and walk to the cave where the Coquesa mummies were found. Box lunch. Return to your hotel in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay at the exclusive Salt Hotel. B L D


Day 3
Uyuni – La Paz

Transfer to the airport for your flight to La Paz where you will be transferred to your hotel. B

Please note that this is a private tour that departs daily and operates with a minimum of 2 passengers. Note that hotels in the “Uyuni Salt Flats” are rustic and sometimes services are very basic, due to the remote location. Roads around the Salar are not paved and during raining season, the journeys can take longer. During the rainy season from November to March, the visit to Uyuni Salt Lake & Isla Pescado will be possible only if weather conditions permit it.
