Buenos Aires, the elegant Capital of Argentina, with over 3 million Porteños – as the residents are called, is one of the largest cities in the world. This great metropolis renowned for its sophistication stands out for being the most cosmopolitan and European city in South America, displayed through its mixed architecture and diverse culture. The Tango ambience can still be felt here, from the outdoor performances in San Telmo or La Boca to the evening shows in glitzy theatres. Buenos Aires, ‘la Reina del Plata’ (the Queen of the River), as the tango lyrics go.
Day 1
Buenos Aires
Arrive into Buenos Aires,’la Reina del Plata’ . Here the lifestyle and architecture are more European than any other city in the Americas. The architecture of Buenos Aires has quite a French influence and the streets, tango bars and cafes give the city a very elegant and cosmopolitan atmosphere.
Day 2
Buenos Aires
This afternoon, tour of the city, taking in the famous buildings and monuments such as El Obelisko, El Cabildo, Casa Rosada and El Congress, as well as the colourful La Boca District and fashionable Recoleta. This afternoon and evening, why not join the Porteños for a coffee at one of the charming cafes, or at a steakhouse for a cut of fine beef for which they are world renowned. B
Day 3
Buenos Aires
Day at leisure. We suggest an optional trip in the Riverside train to the little town of Tigre on the Parana River Delta. This evening, you will be taken to dinner and a Tango show where you’ll discover why the tango became one of the most elegant and sensual dances in the world. B/D

Depart Buenos Aires with memories of this ‘Queen of the River’. B.
