Andes Lakes - Argentina and Chile
An unforgettable trip in the Argentine and Chilean Lakes district of Patagonia. This fantastic journey can begin in the beautiful Argentine city of Bariloche or the Chilean Puerto Varas. The tour will take you sailing along Nahuel Huapi and Todos los Santos Lakes and Llanquihue Lake with fantastic views of the Andes and volcanoes along the way.
Day 1
Puerto Montt/Puerto Varas
Arrive into Puerto Montt where you will me met and transferred to your hotel in Puerto Varas, city of the roses, beautifully situated by the shores of Lake Llanquihué.
Day 2
Puerto Varas
This morning you will be taken on a tour of Puerto Varas and surrounds and nearby Puerto Montt with its handicraft and seafood market at Angelmó. Afternoon at leisure to soak up the spectacular views. B
Day 3
Puerto Varas/Peulla
This morning, begin your Andes Lakes Crossing, travelling by bus around Lake Llanquihué to Petrohue, stopping to view emerald green waters at Petrohué Falls with spectacular views of Osorno Volcano. Board your first launch, across Lake Todos los Santos, with the backdrop of Osorno and Puntiagudo Volcanoes and Cerro Tronador. Arrive at the little village of Peulla in time for lunch (not included). Afternoon at leisure to explore the surrounds, perhaps a walk in the forest to some small waterfalls, a canoe ride on the lake, or just relax and enjoy the peace and tranquility of this tiny haven. B
Day 4
Peulla/San Carlos de Bariloche
Continue the lakes crossing today with a trip by bus to Puerto Frias, where you will complete customs and immigration procedures and cross into Argentina. Board another launch and cross Lake Frias to Puerto Alegre. Take another bus trip to Puerto Blest and board the catamaran, sailing across Lake Nahuel Huapi to Puerto Pañuelo. Disembark and transfer by bus to your hotel in San Carlos de Bariloche, a lovely mountain town surrounded by deep blue and emerald lakes and a popular ski resort in the winter. B
Day 5
San Carlos de Bariloche
Morning tour known as ‘Circuito Chico’, taking you through Nahuel Huapi National Park with a chairlift ride to the summit of Cerro Campanario for one of the most beautiful and fascinating views of the region. Continue to the San Pedro and Llao Llao peninsulas, visiting San Eduardo chapel and passing by the Llao Llao hotel. Cross the bridge that connects Nahuel Huapi Lake and Moreno Lake to Lopez Bay. Enjoy a breathtaking view of Nahuel Huapi Lake from the panoramic point, a natural balcony facing Moreno Lake. B

San Carlos de Bariloche
Transfer to the airport for your departure flight. B

San Carlos De Bariloche
Arrive into San Carlos de Bariloche, a lovely mountain town surrounded by deep blue and emerald lakes and a popular ski resort in the winter.
Day 2
San Carlos De Bariloche
This morning’s tour takes you through Nahuel Huapi National Park with a chairlift ride to the summit of Cerro Campanario for one of the most beautiful and fascinating views of the region: Nahuel Huapi and Perito Moreno lakes, El Trebol lagoon, San Pedro and Llao Llao peninsulas and Victoria Island. Later, explore the peninsula of San Pedro with Llao Llao villa, where the San Eduardo Chapel and Llao Llao Hotel can be viewed, the latter designed by the great architect Alejandro Bustillo in 1939. Return to Bariloche for an afternoon at leisure to explore the chocolate shops or relax and enjoy the views. B
Day 3
San Carlos De Bariloche/Peulla: Lakes Crossing
Transfer to Puerto Pañuelo to board your catamaran, crossing Lake Nahuel Huapi to Puerto Blest. Disembarking, you will take a short bus ride to Puerto Alegre, where you will board a smaller launch, crossing Lake Frias, to Puerto Frias. After completing Chilean immigration formalities, you travel by bus to Peulla, beautifully situated on the lakeside, where you will spend the night. B
Day 4
Peulla/Puerto Varas: Lakes Crossing
Board your catamaran, crossing Lake Todos los Santos to Petrohué. After a brief stop at the National Park to view the cataracts, continue around Lake Llanquihue, via Ensenada to your hotel in Puerto Varas known as the ‘City of Roses’. B
Day 5
Puerto Varas
This morning you will be taken on a tour of Puerto Varas and surrounds and nearby Puerto Montt with its handicraft and seafood market at Angelmó. Afternoon at leisure to soak up the spectacular views.
Day 6
Puerto Varas/Puerto Montt
Transfer to the airport at Puerto Montt, with postcard perfect pictures. B
